A Special B. Des degree and a Chair in Cyber Security

Updates from IIT Delhi

Delhi, Sep 22: It is well-known that the only way to become a student at IIT Delhi is to clear the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and secure a high-enough rank. A student who has not studied science or appeared for
JEE could not aspire to enter the institute for science. But from 2022-23, science and non-science stream students will study together at IIT Delhi in the undergraduate course – B.Des. (Bachelor’s in Design). The B.Des.
programme will be offered by the Institute’s Department of Design, which was started in 2017. The four-year programme will have 20 seats and it will be open to students of all streams (science, arts, commerce, etc.). Students will be admitted based on UCEED (Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design) ranks. Registration for UCEED examination has begun (http://www.uceed.iitb.ac.in/2022/).
